Academic Freedom

• College professors have academic freedom and may cover controversial topics, or topics that would otherwise not be discussed in high school classes.
• The content of a college course is NOT altered for students under 18 years of age.
  Remember: You have demonstrated college readiness, have chosen to register for a college course, and are viewed as a college student!
• It’s important to not allow these things to affect your performance in the class, as college grades are permanent.
