ACC Cares

What is ACC Cares?

CARES (Campus Assessment, Response, Evaluation and Support) is a multidisciplinary team whose aim is to create a healthy and safe environment for the ACC college community by coordinating resources and support plans for students of concern.

The CARES team follows a collaborative, proactive, prevention model approach focusing on identifying problems and intervening before a situation threatens the well-being of the campus community, becomes critical or potentially dangerous.

The goal is for students to have positive, successful experiences in an atmosphere that is conducive to learning.

There are CARES teams for every ACC district Region (North, Central, and South).

Members of the CARES regional teams include Deans of Student Affairs, Counselors, and ACC Police Officers, as well as other ACC staff (on a case by case basis).
